Careers Week 

Careers week is a national even that provides dedicated time and focus to exploring career opportunities. During this week, The Grove holds an annual ‘Careers and Next Steps Fair’ for pupils, parents and carers.  This year we had over 15 stall holders, including employers, internship providers and colleges.

 

 

 

 

Work Experience 

At The Grove, we believe that every pupil should have first-hand experiences of the workplace through work visits, work shadowing and/or work experience to help their exploration of career opportunities, and expand their networks. This academic year, we’ve secured placements for students in organisations such as Kentish Town City Farm, Five Guys and Boots.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Employment encounters 

Pupils at The GROVE also have multiple opportunities to learn from employers about work, employment and the skills that are valued in the workplace. These are called Employment encounters. Our current partners are:

 

 

 

 

 

Enrichment 

At The Grove, we offer a wide range of enrichment opportunities linked to careers and the curriculum. This year pupils have been to the Barbican, Frameless, The British Museum, London Transport Museum, The National Theatre and more!

We also work with partner organisations such as Blackhorse workshop and Young Enterprise on a more regular basis, as well as offering a wide variety of after school clubs and activities.
