School Strategic Plan

Plan on a Page 2026-2027

THE GROVE

Leadership and Governance

  • Map out strategic readiness for the next Ofsted inspection.
  • Continue to build strategic and operational leadership capacity across the senior leadership team, faculty leaders, and school-wide team leadership.
  • Embed a school-wide approach to AI integration.
  • Improve the quality and efficiency of the Annual Review process.

Curriculum, Teaching & Achievement

  • Review and enhance the whole-school curriculum to reflect a broader multi-ethnic, neurodiverse, and sustainability-conscious perspective.
  • Ensure pedagogical practice, curriculum progression, and subject alignment are consistent and high-quality across all pathways, including the delivery of Pathway 2 and 3 curriculums for future cohorts.
  • Develop and implement progressive Life Skills and Key Stage 4 curriculums that build independence, community participation, accreditation, and preparation for adulthood.
  • Develop and implement an assessment framework for pupils working within the Engagement Profile.
  • Strengthen the consistency and quality of teaching, learning, and curriculum implementation through effective quality assurance, communication, and autism-specific practice.

Attendance & Behaviour

  • Design and deliver a series of collaborative parenting workshops to strengthen home-based autism support and parental engagement.
  • Embed effective communication systems across all teams to improve consistent approaches to supporting emotional regulation and wellbeing.
  • Integrate Sleuth data, Pupil Support Plans (PSPs), and pupil voice systems to strengthen behaviour support, de-escalation strategies, and pupil engagement.
  • Establish a consistent school-wide approach to attendance, including practice and policy to support EBSNA pupils and tackle persistent absence.

Personal Development & Wellbeing

  • Integrate school-wide approaches to support wellbeing across the school.
  • Increase staff confidence and consistency in implementing the SCERTS framework to strengthen autism pedagogy.
  • Promote climate action and sustainability as part of personal development.
  • Enhance the careers offer through remodelled work experience, the new Ductu partnership, and an embedded, formalised Careers Working Party with a sustainable governance model, deepening integration with the core curriculum and the Central London Careers Hub network.
  • Launch, monitor, and refine the RSHE curriculum across Key Stage 5 and in line with new pathways.

Post-16

  • Sustain the momentum of the remodelled Post 16 framework and protect the success of the employment transition cohort as stable, reliable pathways for learners.
  • Implement sustainability through the Preparation for Adulthood (PfA) Framework.

Safeguarding

  • Embed consistent practice in response to all aspects of safeguarding through an integrated school-wide model.
  • Strengthen pupil and family engagement, and ensure the Prevent risk assessment is completed and implemented effectively.
  • Develop staff confidence in safeguarding through embedded reflective learning and improvement cycles.
